Just a heads up that I'm currently selling my astronaut signed books, about 30 in all, including what must be one of the rarest – an account of the Gemini IV mission signed by the crew. There's also a 7 moonwalker signed 'We Come In Peace' Gulf Oil book, an unpersonalised 'To Rule The Night' and several less commonly found signed books – Glenn's 'P.S. I Listened To Your Heart Beat', Worden's 'I Want To Know About A Flight To The Moon', Irwin's 'More Than Earthlings' and a few sought after unsigned titles such as Grissom's 'Gemini' and O'Leary's 'Making Of An Ex–Astronaut'.

Full list is -

  • Gemini America's Historic Walk In Space - UPI, signed on the crew pic by Edward H White II and James A McDivitt, on the occasion of the launch of the book, a matter of weeks after the mission. If ever there was a candidate for 'holy grail' status this is it - Ed White signatures in books are rare as hen's teeth and here is a complete vintage Gemini IV crew signed book specifically about their mission. 'Edward H White II' in blue biro and 'James A McDivitt' in dark lead pencil.

  • We Came In Peace (Gulf Oil book) - signed by 7 moonwalkers (3 deceased) 'Alan Shepard', 'Edgar Mitchell Apollo 14', 'Charles Conrad' 'Harrison Schmitt Apollo 17' 'Gene Cernan' 'Jim Irwin Apollo 15' with crescent moon added. Front cover detached (this will be an easy repair for a bookbinder if you pick up one of the dozens of unsigned copies on ebay and have the cover transplanted, I've been quoted $70 & can get the work done here on behalf the winning bidder if required) The signature pages are unaffected.

  • Return To The Moon, with dust jacket - signed 'Harrison H Schmitt Apollo 17'

  • Carrying The Fire 1974 first edition third printing, with dust jacket - signed and inscribed 'Best Wishes to Bryan McKay, Michael Collins'

  • To Rule The Night, with dust jacket, first edition first printing - signed & inscribed but unpersonalised! 'To A Fine Young Man My Very Best Wishes For Your Life In Him. Jim Irwin High Flight'. Spine detached, needs gluing.

  • "P.S. I Listened To Your Heart Beat" Letters To John Glenn, with dust jacket - signed and inscribed 'To Matthew - John Glenn'

  • Moon Shot The Flight Of Apollo 12, graphic novel - signed on the cover in metallic sharpie 'Pete Conrad' and co-author 'D.C. Agle'

  • I Want To Know About A Flight To The Moon - signed and inscribed 'To Matt - Best Wishes Al Worden Apollo 15 CMP'

  • More Than Earthlings with dust jacket - signed and inscribed 'Marie - You are more than an Earthling because of His love and grace! Jim Irwin Apollo 15' and the crescent moon drawing. Comes with Footprints On The Moon pamphlet and James B Irwin High Flight business card, found slipped into the pages when the book was bought.

  • The Moon Is Not Enough with dust jacket, by Mary Irwin - signed and inscribed by Jim Irwin 'Mary - His Love Is Enough! Jim Irwin Apollo 15' and the crescent moon drawing.

  • The All American Boys with dust jacket, 1977 first edition, first printing, ex-library - signed 'Walt Cunningham, Chief Skylab Astronauts, Apollo 7'

  • Flight with dust jacket & mylar cover, signed 'Best Regards from Chris Kraft "First NASA Flight Director" 11/05/02'

  • Gemini! with dust jacket, ex-library, first edition third printing - Grissom (unsigned)

  • Moon Missions by William F Melberg, softcover, foreword by Harrison Schmitt - signed & inscribed 'To Matt, Harrison H Schmitt Apollo 17' on his astronaut portrait page

  • Two Sides Of The Moon with dust jacket - signed 'Dave Scott'

  • Hello Earth, Greetings From Endeavour with dust jacket - signed 'Best Wishes, Al Worden, Apollo 15'

  • On Course To The Stars with dust jacket, Roger Chaffee biography - signed 'Best Wishes - Don Chrysler' (co-author)

  • Apollo Moon Missions Unsung Heroes with dust jacket - signed by Fred Haise, Joe W Schmitt, Joan Roosa, Rodney Rose, Billy Watkins

  • Schirra's Space with dust jacket - signed 'Wally Schirra'

  • Lost Moon with dust jacket - signed & inscribed 'To Matt Best Wishes James Lovell'

  • Reaching For The Moon with dust jacket - signed 'Buzz Aldrin'

  • How Do You Go To The Bathroom In Space? - signed 'Bill Pogue'

  • Magnificent Desolation with dust jacket - signed 'Buzz Aldrin' on bookplate

  • Moon Shot with dust jacket - signed on bookplate 'Enjoy! Alan Shepard'

  • Moonwalker with dust jacket & mylar cover - signed 'Charlie Duke'

  • The Way Of The Explorer with dust jacket - signed & inscribed 'To Matt Thomas, Edgar Mitchell'

  • We Have Capture with dust jacket - signed 'Tom Stafford'

  • The All American Boys with dust jacket, 2003 edition - signed 'Walt Cunningham, Apollo 7'

  • Space Trivia - signed 'Bill Pogue'

  • Deke! softcover - signed by co-author 'Michael Cassutt'

  • The Last Man On The Moon, with dust jacket - signed 'Gene Cernan'

  • The Making Of An Ex-Astronaut, with dust jacket - Brian O'Leary (unsigned)

  • Moonlander How We Developed The Apollo Lunar Module with dust jacket – Thomas J Kelly (unsigned)

I've had a number of requests for images of Gemini America's Historic Walk In Space and the We Came In Peace books - posting them here for any other interested parties.

Matt - this is only the second book I've seen signed by White and McDivitt. In fact, the other one is mine - same book signed in the same place!

Good luck with the sales, fellow Cestrian!

Got some books and hardware from Matt recent offers. Still have to PayPal him, but last time I had news was before he went to Australia to see the eclipse.

No replies using his regular email so I'm starting to worry a bit, anybody has some news?
