Yes, I know, but thanks anyway. Assume hard to find these and hard to say "fair" price. Any recommendation? |

What do you consider a fair price? |

You're going to be looking awhile for the Shepard. I've had two in the past year and a half and got great deals on them but they don't come up often. If you want one without waiting forever or competing with a bunch of people you are probably going to have to just accept paying $1000 or more for one.Conrad isn't that hard to find. I think Novaspace might have had one recently. |

Many thanks to all for comments, tips and help. From the past assume +/- 1k for Shepard looks fair for my point of view. Saw the Novaspace as well but the price seems to be very high. |

I finally picked up a Shepard just within the past two months (from Astronaut Archives), after looking for one for around four years. Yes, it was priced a bit higher than I was prepared for, but it was the last moonwalker signed photo I needed (excluding Armstrong), and I was just tired of looking and waiting, and at the rare moment I'd find one, being outbid. All in all, the purchase was definitely worth it! |

If we had a time machine we could go back to 1999 and from Galaxy Space Autograph's catalog order one Alan Shepard signed lunar photo for $150 or five (5) for $500! (this was shortly after Shepard had died) And maybe pick up four (4) Charles Conrad signed photos of him at Surveyor for $200. I was told that Galaxy had a number of astronauts come by and sign 100 items at a time. Surely many of these great Shepard signed photos we see for $1,000 or more, originated from Galaxy. But Galaxy saw their pricing mistake and in their next catalog in 2000, had the Shepard photos at $950 each and the Conrad photos at $300 each.

What does anyone think about the signature on the Pete Conrad pic that Ben Fairfax gave the link to? |

As long as it is an original and not a reprint (impossible to tell until you get it), it looks good. |

I am tempted to bid on this one, but it does seem strange that no one else has placed a bid yet at what looks to be a pretty good price. Maybe it's just the uncertainty of buying autographs on ebay. |
