I have a First edition/first print of Apollo The Race to the Moon with a laid in presentation letter on Charles Murray stationery that reads:
To Ed Lineberry:
With gratitude for the Lineberry Short Course on Orbital Mechanics, and best wishes.
It is signed by Charles Murray and Catherine Cox.

The book is in unread shape, the dust jacekt in very good condition with a slight wrinkling to the top of the DJ. No tears.

This is number 5 on the Boggs Holy grails of signed space books.

Asking $215 plus shipping.

Pardon me, but isn't it #5 only when, according to Boggs, it is "SIGNED by the Apollo 11 crew Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr."?

Yes you are correct, my mistake. I wish it were signed by the Apollo 11 crew. Still a very hard book to find signed by both authors. I do qualify that the signatures are on a presentation letter laid in the book from both authors and on Charles Murray stationery.

Yes, it is a wonderful book to read. I picked up a copy this year for under $10 on Abe books and have loaned it to others who have also read it. Fascinating story!

It is a great book well worth reading. I have three copies. One unsigned to read and refer to, one with the presentation letter, and one signed on the book. I am selling the one because I just don't need three.

All times are CT (US)
