When Charlie Duke attended Autographica in 2009 I had him sign a photo of him seated in Mission Control during his stint as Capcom on Apollo 11.

To cut a long story short I realised after I came home from the event that inscription added to the photo wasn't entirely correct. This was down to my error with trying to recall the correct quote from memory at the show rather than taking the time to note it down properly before the show.

The inscription on the photo reads "We copy you down Eagle, you got a bunch of guys about to turn blue, we're breathing again. Thanks a lot" and is signed "Charlie Duke, Apollo 11 Capcom". The photo is not personalised.

The reason for sale is that since Charlie Duke's appearance at Autographica a week or so ago I have been able to get a new photo with the correct inscription on so now have no real need for the one with the incorrect inscription.

It's hard to judge how much something like this is worth, technically all the words on the photo were said during the landing but in true Morecambe and Wise style just not neccesairily in the correct order.

In terms of proof of authenticity I am limited in what I can provide apart from a rather sorry anecdote proving what a fool I am which I can't believe anyone would make up, and I can show you a photograph taken of myself and Gen Duke taken at the event but that's about it.

I'm going to suggest a price of £30 but would listen to offers, ideally would prefer to sell in the UK just for ease of postage etc. Happy to provide a scan etc. Please contact off list with any interest.

Shouldn't beat yourself over it. I've had astronauts write the wrong date then correct it by writing over it.

But the best one, which I've kept, is Creamer writing under his signature "Expedition 23 and 24."
