SOLD, thank you.
In the early 1990s, the original owner of this signed photo was given a few hours' notice that he had a chance to give his father, an Ohio banker, something for Neil Armstrong to sign. We each probably have 20 things in our houses we could use in case of such a miracle today, but he wasn't a space collector. In those pre-Internet days, it wasn't possible to quickly acquire and print a photo. So he went to the library and got permission to borrow a (way)back copy of Life magazine - the July 25, 1969 edition. (Hence the "Portrait file - Armstrong, Neil" notation at the top left.) He then made an 8.5x11 inch color copy, and this is what Armstrong inscribed to him.

So while this image is not on actual photo paper or a lithograph, the ink is doing fine after over 25 years. And the ballpoint pen writing is much darker than the marker ink often is on WSS portraits.

Those inscribed WSS photos now regularly sell for around $1500. (Here are two examples.)

This signed image, not a posed portrait but showing an historic moment from the morning of Apollo 11's launch, is more rare and I think more desirable. It would look fantastic framed and matted with smaller photos of the launch, the moonwalk, and recovery. However, because of the color copy issue (and what appears to be a horizontal fold across the middle, which was actually on the original magazine but still shows on this copy), the price is just a little more than what good signed index cards have sold for on both eBay and through major auction houses. I accept PayPal or check. If you are interested, please e-mail and I'll send you a higher-resolution scan.

$1150, including Priority Mail shipping with insurance.
