The artifact is a piece of the gantry from Launch Complex 26 where the Unites States launched it's first satellite, Explorer 1, on January 31, 1958, and developmental flights of the Redstone, Jupiter, Jupiter C and Juno rockets and pre-Mercury test flights of the monkeys Able, Baker and Gordo.

It is mounted to a 8 1/2 x 4 inch card which describes the history of the Launch Complex and the Explorer 1 mission and a photo of the Explorer 1 launch vehicle and gantry.

These are official artifacts from the Air Force Space and Missile Museum at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (not privately made).

I'm asking $10 plus shipping. This is an inexpensive way to add a real piece of Space Program history to your collection.

As a bonus I'm also including a brochure from the Air Force Space and Missile Museum which describes the history of the museum and has maps of the museums displays and the CCAFS launch areas.

I only have a few of these so if you would like me to hold one for you please send an e-mail to: randyconstantin@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Randy

I've sold several of these artifacts and have only two left. If you've been thinking about adding artifacts from the start of the U.S. Space Program to your collection this item would be a great, inexpensive start.

If you would like me to hold one for you please send me an e-mail to the address listed above.
