For Sale...NASA Apollo ERA "Cape Used" Double Countdown Clock. Another REAL piece of space history here. This unit is actually two countdown clocks mounted together. It was used at the Cape durring Project Apollo and perhaps earlier durring Project Gemini. These clocks were used in various locations and building facilities at the Cape so it is impossible to know the exact location from where this unit was used. The clock is 19" wide at it's face by 7 1/4" high (both clocks together) by 14 1/2" deep. It can be mounted two different ways. From the cealing, or floor mounted as I have done because of the weight factor. That plus the fact it makes an OUTSTANDING looking display sitting on the floor at an angle with a NASA harhat on it beneath the Saturn launch control panel and the Project Mercury headset. Sitting on the floor angled up as I have it puts the height at 14" (ask to see scans). This unit still has the Pan Am tags affixed to it and has the original mounting bracket. I was at the Cape at the time of Apollo 15 and saw these clocks in use. I am asking $500 for this unit plus actual boxing and shipping fees. If interested please e-mail me off line at 1jan1@bright.net or feel free to call me at 419-586-9600. Scans will be sent upon request.
