Patricia Huffman Smith Museum release
'Remembering Columbia' 15th Memorial Anniversary

The Sabine County Columbia Memorial Committee and the Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum would like to invite everyone to attend the 15th Memorial Anniversary of Space Shuttle Columbia as we pay tribute to Columbia, her crew of Mission STS-107 and to the two who lost their lives in the recovery efforts. We will also be celebrating the 7th Anniversary of the Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Remembering Columbia Museum's opening.

The memorial program will be held at the First Baptist Church in Hemphill, Texas beginning at 7:45 a.m., on February 1, 2018. The public is invited to attend this free event.

The Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum — Remembering Columbia will also be hosting a booking signing event for Mike Leinbach and Jonathan Ward's newly released book, "Bringing Columbia Home." The book signing event will be at the Columbia Museum beginning at 10:00 a.m. following the anniversary program.

Throughout the day in the auditorium, our scheduled special guest speakers will surely keep you captivated by their presentations. NASA personnel will be on hand for autographs and will also be among the guest speakers.

We are also excited to announce the first annual Columbia Museum Robotics Competition. The competition will begin at 9:30 on February 1, 2018 at the museum. This event is made possible through a grant from the Thomas L. Keller Grant Program administered by the T.L.L. Foundation.

The Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum is located at 375 Sabine Street in Hemphill, Texas adjacent to the J.R. Huffman Public Library.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum at 409-787-4827 or email.
