Just got back late last night from a truly tremendous event put on by Luigi and his gang. This was an extremely well run operation and was a joy to be part of.
Charlie was his usual friendly and talkative self and this, combined with the relaxed and friendly vibe of the event, made it one to remember.
At one point I was deliberating whether to purchase a photo shoot ticket for €30 being as I have photos with Charlie from his Autographica and Pontefract appearances... and then quickly came to my senses and realised that these opportunities don't come around every year (anymore) and am so glad that I made the rather hurried search for the nearest cash machine (not near, but was helped by an elderly Chinese man who escorted me to a lift, went so far as to walk in to the lift, press the button for the appropriate floor, walk out of the lift and gave me a "thumbs up" sign!!).
It was a genuine pleasure to attend and a special thank you to Luigi, Paolo, et al for a highly enjoyable day.
