Looking forward to heading to the dinner event with Al Worden with my girlfriend tomorrow night in Limerick.

Anyone else planning on heading?

Myself and Demi had a fantastic night at the dinner with Al Worden in Limerick last night. It was great to finally meet Eamonn 'irish guy' Cregan and his lovely wife Siobhán.

Al seemed in great form, especially considering he had to be up for a 7am flight to Birmingham this morning for Autographica. The dinner was lovely, Al said a few words and we also got to hear from astronomer Dr. Niall Smith of the Blackrock Observatory in Cork.

Al was happy to sign autographs at any stage of the night and I was delighted to get my copy of the fantastic book 'Falling To Earth', Al's memoirs written with Francis French, and my professional photo-shoot picture signed as well.

The event was very intimate with only around 30 there in total which made the experience all the more special.

I have to personally thank Paul Ryan, the organiser of this event, for allowing me to sit with Al for around 20 minutes before the dinner - the resulting article reviewing the event and looking at Al's life will be published in a matter of weeks.

I hope Paul is now encouraged to make this a regular thing as it truly was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had with any of the Apollo astronauts I've had the pleasure of meeting.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Al for an interview before the dinner thanks to the event organiser Paul Ryan.
