Though the museum's website has not yet been updated, the National Air and Space Museum has announced in its e-newsletter the speaker for the 2014 John H. Glenn Lecture.
[James] McDivitt will be the speaker at this year's John H. Glenn Lecture scheduled for June 26.

I just noticed that one can now request tickets for this lecture. It's not a lottery as other events have been in the past — I requested tickets and instantly got a confirmation e-mail that I had them.

Tonight's lecture was without a doubt the funniest I have ever seen there (and I have been going for 30 years). McDivitt had the place rolling, and the interplay with Gen. Dailey was priceless. It can be seen on the Air and Space Museum's website.

It was too bad that John Glenn, still recoving from heart valve surgery, was unable to attend last night's John Glenn lecture.

General McDivitt, who was in rare form, gave one jab after another w.r.t. the U.S. Marine Corps, with only General Daley on stage to defend it.

All times are CT (US)
