I'm registered, but was wondering if there were any other cS'ers going to be in attendance? |

Will there be any publication associated with this event, perhaps at a later date? |

There wasn't at the last I attended, aside from an official Flickr gallery. |

I am betting that many of the speakers will not be able to attend. I also know that they are working on getting a few replacements. It still should be worth it.So who is going? |

I'll be attending, at this time there's no announcement on the U.S. Naval Institute's website to the effect of cancelling the conference. Access to the conference may be a different story as Alumni Hall may be closed due to the furlough. We'll have to wait and see. |

I just received an email from stating that the conference will not be affected by the government shutdown. I'll see you at the conference! |

I have an email asking if there'll be a change in speakers, particularly as Cassidy, Suni Williams, Cabana and Bolden are active federal employees. |

From Michelle Ham's blog: Even though the Government is shutdown this event is still happening. Sadly the current astronauts (or anyone who technically still works for NASA whether they are a current astronaut or not) such as Chris Cassidy, Suni Williams and Charlie Bolden will not be able to attend which is a bummer because it would be even more epic to have them here. However, there are still so many amazing folks who will be here! Astronaut speakers include Mike Lopez-Alegria, Frank Culbertson, Bob Crippen and more! While I am super excited to see those guys I must admit I am absolutely beside myself about the fact that I am going to get to meet Jim Lovell and Tom Stafford! Talk about living legends!!! |

Update: Bolden was at the Forrestal Lecture which was held at the Academy tonight. Don't know if he'll be there tomorrow. |

The conference was great and I met not only many astronauts, but those interested in the space program. Thanks again Robert for tipping us off to this valuable gathering! Today's presentations are to be posted to the U.S. Naval Institute's website. I would highly recommend those who didn't have the opportunity to attend to check them out, some excellent insights! |

I second JBoe's comments. Nice venue and campus. All four sessions kept moving and were interesting.I talked with fellow cSer's in attendance: Bob K, Bob L, Bryan Mc, Larry Mc, Mike I, Pete S, and Mr. and Mrs. "Scoop." Also had nice chats with other attendees and speakers. |

Thanks! I thought it was great that the speakers gave their thoughts and opinions on how we should proceed in future exploration; especially with the space station discussion. |
