South Florida Branch of the American Helicopter Society announcement
"From the Apollo Program to the Shuttle"

Images and history of the journey to space through the decades.

The South Florida branch of the American Helicopter Society invites you and your guests for an exciting presentation and a banquet dinner on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013.

This year's presentation, "From the Apollo Program to the Shuttle," will be given by former Kennedy Space Center launch complex foreman Richard Kupczyk. Richard will share pictures, stories and lessons-learned throughout the decades of his time at KSC.

The cost is $40 for members/$45 for non-members. Contact the South Florida branch of AHS for more information.

Richard Kupczyk
Launch Pad Foreman (Retired)
Northrop Grumman

After serving in the U.S. Navy, Richard began a long and exciting career in aerospace at Grumman Aerospace (now Northrop Grumman). One of the highlights of his career was serving as the Launch Complex 39 Pad A and Pad B foreman: there he was in charge of all Lunar Module activities and spacecraft launch preparation. His presentation will share stories, images, and lessons learned during his 35+ years in the industry.

Kevin Bredenbeck, pilot of the Sikorsky S2 on it's maiden and record setting flights, should be there as well. He generally attends all of them.

All times are CT (US)
