NASA Night at the Houston Aeros

The Houston Aeros invite NASA employees and guests to Toyota Center to watch the Aeros take on the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 7:05 PM as we celebrate NASA night!

NASA Night will include NASA mascot "Kosmo" as well as Astronauts Lee Archambault and Mario Runco signing autographs!

If you're going to the game, could you contact me? Thanks.

I received word today that NASA Nights at all sporting events have been canceled, and I've seen at least one place where this event was being officially promoted and has since been removed.

As such, I've removed the event from Sightings but will check tomorrow regarding Lee Archambault's planned attendance, given he is now a former astronaut and not subject to the same restrictions.

Related to the sequester? I've also seen an event where Foale was the guest speaker but another is taking his place. Not sure if there was a conflict with his schedule at the last minute, though.

Yes, sequester-driven cutbacks have been a hold on most employee travel (even local) and put outreach events on hold as they are reviewed for budgetary reasons.

All times are CT (US)
