Chris, we are on the train, just out of Birmingham making our way down. Hoping to soak up some Olympic atmosphere too. See you there. |

Beauty, intelligence, passion... (but enough about me). Julie Payette has it all. A terrific night with a guest speaker that exuded a passion for spaceflight, the environment and planet Earth. Julie is a firm believer in Mars exploration by human beings on the ground and sooner rather than later. She was 100% behind the money already spent and being spent on ISS and gave a strong and impassioned argument for doing so. The presentation drew similarities with space exploration and the challenges to people in becoming astronauts with the Olympics, particularly the 2012 Olympics for which she was over to support and enjoy. A series of slides and video clips complimented a flawless, no notes, narration. Well done Julie do visit again and keep us enthralled. Merci s'il vous plait visiter bientot. |
