Anybody going to the International Space University's Space Studies Program astronaut panel, which will be held at Kennedy Space Center on July 11, 2012? The Astronaut Panel is a longstanding highlight in SSP sessions. The objective is to give the participants a direct occasion to ask a broad range of questions to a number of astronauts in an interactive mode. The astronauts are selected on the basis of different backgrounds (medical, piloting, engineering, scientific), which allows for a broad variety of complementary answers. The Panel provides different insights and opinions, especially comparing intensive short-duration flights with long duration stay on board space stations (such as MIR and ISS).Astronaut Panelists: - Ken Bowersox
- Nicole Stott
- Jim Voss
- Winston Scott
- Garrett Reisman
- Kent Rominger
- Chiaki Mukai

Kennedy Space Center Director Robert Cabana, also a veteran astronaut, will moderate a panel discussion. Where: Astronaut Encounter Theater at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex When: 5 p.m. July 11 Cost: The panel discussion is included with regular admission ($45 plus tax for adults; $35 plus tax for children ages 3 to 11) or free of charge for annual pass holders. |

I saw they're having a lecture tonight on the future of space exploration and a lot of astronauts are going to be there to talk about it. Among them are astronauts like Stott, Bowersox, Voss and Mukai. If any of you attend tonight, let me know how it is! I was sad I was unable to attend tonight. Editor's note: Threads merged. | |
