Bill Shepherd will be the astronaut inducted into the Cradle of Aviation Museum's Hall of Fame, in Garden City, NY.

Tickets are $75 per person. It's a nice event; went two years ago to see Mary Cleave, and the museum is open, so you don't pay a separate fee.

If previous years are any indication, other Long Island astronauts will make an appearance around that time either at the museum itself or at local schools. In fact, I seem to remember a day or two before Cleave's induction she and Shepherd were at the museum doing a presentation.
