Those of you based near Manchester, England may be interested in a Yuri Gagarin Exhibition. Gagarin spent one of his five days in Britain, in Manchester.The exhibition, at the Waterside Arts Centre Sale, Manchester, is open to the public daily until August 17th. There are two talks planned. - Gagarin & The Space Race – 6.30pm, Monday 23rd May 2011: Chris Riley - Director and Producer of the film First Orbit
- Gagarin in Manchester – 1.30pm, Saturday 28th May 2011: Gurbir Singh

A family member stopped by this exhibition the other week and took a lot of photos to show me - some great Soviet-era posters, lots of other souvenirs from the era, many of which I had never seen before. Plus some Gagarin books, postcards and posters for sale. I'd definitely be dropping by if I still lived in the UK. | |
