From Johnson Space Center's employee e-newsletter: Houston Astros Opening DayJoin the Houston Astros for opening day on April 5 in celebrating their 45th season and honoring NASA in their pre-game ceremony. The Astros will play video of the Mercury astronauts throwing the ceremonial first pitch in the Astrodome in 1965, immediately followed by members of the current astronaut corps throwing out the first pitch. JSC team members, family and friends are encouraged to wear NASA shirts to the game. According to NASA public affairs, astronauts attending the opening day ceremony are: Scott Altman, David Leestma, Michael Foreman and the entire STS-130 crew including George Zamka, Terry Virts, Stephen Robinson, Kay Hire, Bob Behnken and Nick Patrick. | |
