STS-116 and Expedition 14/15 astronaut Sunita Williams will be giving a presentation at the new Patriot Hall of Fame venue this Friday night from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

This is one of my first events since starting a new non-profit corporation called One Giant Leap, Inc. It was created to help promote space exploration in our schools and community. More to come on that.

I was able to attend on Friday, and I want to commend Bryan for a great event. Suni presented a video of her time on the ISS during Expedition 14 and 15 and explained what it’s like to live in space. She also presented a Patriots pennant to the Hall of Fame that she had hung in the Space Station during her time there. After her talk, she took plenty of time to answer questions from everyone, and was happy to stay and talk with folks and sign autographs. I was able to talk with her about her on-orbit run of the Boston Marathon in 2007, and the fact that I completed the marathon this year. Suni is a very nice, down to earth person and it was a pleasure to hear her speak and to meet her. Thanks, Bryan, for an enjoyable event.
