I attended Ken Reightler's presentation at the Virginia Air and Space Center last night. His lecture (part of NASA Langley's Sigma Series) delt with the history of NASA's manned space flight program, with emphasis on Langley's contribution, and the future with a status report on Constellation. Great speaker, all in all, and he was gracious enough to sign a book for me afterwards. I also spoke with his father, a retired naval aviator, as I was leaving. He noticed my one of my ship's patches on my flight jacket, and we began, as sailors do, swapping sea stories. | |
