The Navy in Space Exhibit
Presented by The W Foundation

Fort Mason Center, Building D
San Francisco, California
October 11-12, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Special Guest: Astronaut Capt. Robert Curbeam, USN Ret.

You are going to see artifacts that have made the long journey to the moon and back, and photographs that have been inscribed by the astronauts themselves in order to tell their stories about adventures in outer space.

The exhibit is divided into three parts:

  • Section 1 - "America's Quest for the Moon": shows how America reached the moon.

  • Section 2 - "The Russians, First into Space": displays the achievements of America's former adversary, now partner in space.

  • Section 3 - "Exploring Space Today": shows present space exploration activities involving the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle and California's role in our nation's space exploration efforts.
For more information call (415) 506-3071 or see the Fort Mason Center website.

All times are CT (US)
