I hope all members of cS in the Connecticut area will join us for a fun day at the IGNITE Foundation and Aldrich Astronomical Society Space Expo (see Sightings for details).

Anyone interested in sending photos for Brian Duffy's signature or if you want to get one, please email me off list for the details and costs.

Thanks,
Bryan

Hey Bryan-

Is the Aldrich Astronomical Society from the old Greater Hartford Astronomical Society? I knew those folks and we worked together for "Reach for the Stars" Young Astronaut events years ago.

Good Luck with the event!

We have arranged for Brian Duffy to attend. If anyone wants anything signed. Let me know offline. I will have some orange suit and some crew photos. If you want to send me some stuff, that is fine. It won't be free though. Any funds raised will go towards the event.

There is still time to request a signed Brian Duffy photo if anyone is interested.

What a great day we had. The museum through aggressive advertising plus excellent exhibotrs and an astronaut brought in the most people they have seen in years. Kids got to try on David Clark suits, work and learn from the Clay Observatory, learn about microgravity, learn from Lockheed and meet and talk to Astronaut Brian uffy. He must of signed hundreds of autographs, posed for many photos and never once complained. He spoke to a packed room (twice) with great pictures and stories. People/collectors/suppoters need to give these shuttle guys a chance. They may not have gone to the moon but the stories and inspiration is just a fun and needed.

We hope to do this again next year and I hope to run some more events in New England this year as well.

Bryan, what a wonderful job you do with the Ignite Foundation in bringing space and space activities to the kids. The Dream Remains Alive!

I agree. The shuttle's an extraordinary machine, and the people who fly in it are well worth hearing. It's great that Bryan and Ignite bring this to so many people.
