Just wondering if any fellow cS members are attending the reception and dinner at the National Football Foundation dinner with Neil Armstrong, Gene Cernan, and Jerry Ross. Looks like I am going to make the trip.

Armstrong is the only moonwalker I have never met and it looks like this is a good opportunity.

If other folks from this site will be there I look forward to meeting.

I, too, attended the NFF event at Purdue University on June 16th. It was neat to finally meet Neil Armstrong. It was also neat to stand in line with fellow collectSPACE member tncmaxq and talk about the astronauts. It was a great event all around, except for running a little bit late due to airplane arrivals of the astronauts. Thank you.

Great event. I am so glad I made the trip. It was an honor to meet Armstrong so I have now met all 12 men who walked on the Moon. I got a look at the outside of the Neil Armstrong Engineering Building too. Nice facility, as is the whole Purdue campus.

After my TSA pat down at Indianapolis airport yesterday I noticed Gene Cernan standing next to me after he went through the line too. What a coincidence. I shook his hand again and we chatted a little about the event the night before. He's a great American.

It was a pleasure also to meet fellow cS member Astro-nut. He has an impressive collection of photos of himself with many astronauts. It was good having a fellow space enthusiast to talk to since we had a bit of wait in the line to get our pictures taken with Armstrong, Cernan, and Jerry Ross.

All times are CT (US)
