Hi, today at the Think Tank (science/technology museum) in Birmingham (UK) they put on some activities for the younger space fans, i.e building a model sputnik and model rockets. All of the young attendees went away delighted. Congratulations to the members of the Midland Spaceflight society that were involved in the organisation of the event. The planetarium featured a 25 minute '50 years of spaceflight' presentation especially for today. For those that hadn't already seen it the IMAX was also running Space Station 3D. Happy birthday Sputnik. I'm watching October Sky while typing away here... a great film, based on fact. Anyone know how much was true to life. Did von Braun really visit the science fair finals?
