While not directly SPACE related, the Boeing 787 program that I have been associated with for many, many years will have its rollout tomorrow. The event will be available to view on-line and via exclusive channels on satellite TV.These "live" viewings are made possible by advances in SPACEFLIGHT!
The official news story:
Using satellite and Web technologies, Boeing will broadcast the 787 Premiere to a global audience on Sunday, July 8, at 3:30 p.m. Pacific time. The 787 Premiere will be carried live and in nine different languages to more than 45 countries. To view the webcast, viewers may log on to www.boeing.com or www.newairplane.com. Viewers in the United States and Canada also can view the Premiere on DIRECTV, channel 576, and on DishNetwork, channel 9601. Other satellite providers, channel numbers and other frequency information can be found on the 787 Premiere Web site.
UPDATE: For people in the Pacific Northwest, the 787 Premiere will be broadcast live on Northwest Cable News, with coverage beginning at approximately 3 p.m. Pacific time.
