1972: Apollo 9 launches the first crewed flight of the entire Apollo spacecraft (CSM and LM) into Earth orbit.

Hmmm Anything wrong with this date(

I may have only been five, but wasn't Apollo 9 launched on March 3, 1969?

This must be some sort of alternate universe reverse order cronology. According to a calendar of mine, today in '72 was when Pioneer 10, the 1st spacecraft to leave the solar system, was launched.

Pioneer 10 was launched on March 2, 1972. Apollo 9 was launched on March 3, 1969.
