I just heard on the news that the fires in California in the Chatsworth area have forced evacuation of Bell Canyon which is where Aurora Galleries is located.I believe the same thing happened 2 years ago just before the auction and Michael had to load the goods into U-Haul trailers to make a fast getaway. They were given an hour to evacuate then. Sure hope things are OK out there. Good luck & take care - Dan |

Re: Fires near Bell CanyonI just wanted to let everyone know that the fire has burned around the edges of Bell Canyon and the office is in no danger whatsoever. As a side note, the office facility where we are based serves as the center for fire management and control, so we know that it will be well taken care of. I am working today, although I have given the staff the day off. Interestingly, there is talk that this fire was started by an arsonist. Best regards, Victoria Campbell CEO Aurora PS My house is fine also for those who have inquired. |

It would not suprise me if it was. It sees like most of the bush fires that I remember in Australia were started by either dumb folks not taking care of camp fires properly or by arsonists. ------------------ Brian 385th Bombardment Group B-17 Bomber "War Horse" http://warhorse.omegappg.com [This message has been edited by collshubby (edited September 29, 2005).] |

I don't know about Aurora, but at least one building from the Rocketdyne testing facility has burned down with two others reportedly sustaining damage. The facility was actually supposed to hold its very lat engine firing today the 29th, as it was planned to be closed in the near future. |

It looks like our fire bug is back again. The last couple of years he has worked the Santa Clarita area off the I5 and 14 it is a nice little shot down to the 118. I hope they get this guy before someone gets killed. By the way this is just my guess not an "Official" Fire Department statement. There are too many things that are repeats of past fires. |
