Back before 9/11/01, NASA used to issue a limited number of vehicle access passes to view shuttle launches. You could write off for them in the mail and you could park your car right on the NASA causeway just 3 miles from 39a & b! I know that the KSC website indicates that there will be no vehicle access passes available for this launch. Does anyone know if there will be any passes available beyond the May launch or is this going to be a thing of the past? |

Since 9/11 they have only been selling the causeway passes via bus from the visitors center (no free car passes; no cars in otherwords since 911).They are $17 per person and will go on sale within a few weeks they told me in email recently. www.kennedyspacecenter.com and www.ksctickets.com They are the same site really. And just to note, the causeway is six miles from A and seven from B at its closest (the west end being a quarter to a half mile or so closer than the east end). | |
