http://www.wisinfo.com/sheboyganpress/news/archive/update_19709436.shtml South Bend evening news reports that plane was owned by a Sheboygan plane leasing company....there is nothing left of the plane and Michigan State Police/NTSB people say that the engines are buried deep in the ground. Gene |

Hi Gene, Sad news- hope its not Neil? These planes are a piston type twin engine. In fact several mishaps have happened with this type. If opne engine goes, then beleive me- its a very hard job to fly this with only 1 engine, the Baron 58- I HAVE FLOWN, with some of my pilot friends, and a rather sad time for me- when one crashed into the IRISH Sea-2 years ago- which I saw-and ended up helping the AAIB out, simply because I fly these, and also I was a witness. I sincerely hope this former astro- was not the one? We as pilots, have to be very careful- think the other pilots will agree- in an emergeny. Regards from Brenda. this was posted by november25 |

"Brian Carr, manager of the Warren County Airport in Lebanon, said it appeared all of the victims were from the Sheboygan area and were on a business trip to Lebanon." http://www.freep.com/news/statewire/sw111224_20050204.htm --John

Right....sad as it is, these were three businessmen from Shyboygan and the pilot. Saturday (the day or two later) an experimental (EAA-guy) crashed his plane SOUTH of here in Fulton County (Rochester), Indiana. He crashed into a pond and died. These things always happen around here in bunches....the pilot in that second crash....only one on board, was from Texas. It had been SO foggy around here all week.....dense, dense fog, it is amazing that MORE little guys did not go down trying to land. Gene |

I don't understand this thread title? Is it meant to make me worry Neil Armstrong is dead? |
