Received from the Delta Queen Steamboat Company and the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation:

MINGLE WITH FAMOUS ASTRONAUTS ON AN AMERICAN QUEEN RIVER ADVENTURE THAT INCLUDES A NEW ORLEANS VACATION -- FREE!

Join Us On These Two Special 7-Night Vacations In August Starting From $695 per Person!*

Most of us can't travel in space yet, but we can travel on a steamboat with those who have on American Queen "Astronauts on the Mississippi" vacations, departing New Orleans in August 2004.

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation and the Delta Queen Steamboat Company, Inc. have worked together to develop these two exciting 7-night hotel and riverboat vacation adventures you won't want to miss.

This is your chance to take a space walk down memory lane with three of the original Mercury Seven astronauts: Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, and Wally Schirra. This is probably the first time these guys have traveled at 8 mph! Also on board will be comedian Bill Dana, the "Eighth Mercury Astronaut." These 7-night luxury vacations include three or four days in New Orleans and also feature a pre-cruise tour of Stennis Space Center with the astronauts the day you start your cruise.

But here's the best part: You get a 7-night New Orleans & Riverboat Adventure Week vacation with the astronauts for the price of the 4-night cruise alone! The man on the moon meets Old Man River this August!

Choose a 7-night vacation starting on:

August 20 (with 3 nights in New Orleans and 4 nights on the river) or
August 23 (with 4 nights in New Orleans and 3 nights on the river)

*Price shown is per person, double occupancy. All room categories may not be available at discounted rate at time of booking. Price includes a 4-night New Orleans/3-night river adventure or a 3-night New Orleans/4-night river adventure. Hotel taxes are not included. Transportation between hotels, restaurants and attractions is not included. Price shown is for I category stateroom. Prices vary by stateroom category. Offer is capacity controlled and may be withdrawn at any time without notice.

Tell em' to gitondownharnow to Nawlins (that's the correct way to pronounce it). They are more than welcome.

I've always enjoyed going to Stennis. It was always that little part of NASA in my backyard.

I just wish I was there back home to see them. :-(

Not to get too far off topic, but has anyone heard of NASA opening an administration center in or near New Orleans?
