During 20 + 21 + 22 February the 2004 edition of the Belgian Space Flight days "Ruimtevaart dagen" will take place in the Media-Center of OOSTENDE at the Belgian Coast.
Although mainly focused on activities for the younger public, several astronauts will be present among who Belgians Dirk FRIMOUT ( STS-45 ) and Frank DE WINNE ( TMA-01 )...

Chris it looks like thye will be there Friday & Saturday morning as there'll be a Radio program broadcasted from the Media center !

Kirsten ... now I have checked and You're right BUT I guess he will be present at least during one of the three days as he was present on all earlier editions ... Best chance will be Friday morning during the official opening ...
Viscount Dr Frimout is also involved in the "Earth Explorer" center in OOSTENDE, a large complex near the Napoleantic Fort at the Coastline between OOSTENDE and BREDENE

As far as the organizers tell me, Frank de Winne will be the only astronaut apparing there.

And I'm seriously thinking of attending the event on Saturday, especially on Saturday morning when De Winne will be there for the "Human Spaceflight Pro & Contra" debate.
Anybody else ? On the Yahoo groups, someone proposed a geek meeting there ...
