..was 35 yrs ago yesterday. Doesn't it merit a mention in "Today in history"? I realise that REACHING the moon was the real achievement, but IMHO Ap8 was the understated achievement of the Apollo program.
Also, are there any plans for a 35th anniversary reunion? I know Anders and Borman shy away from publicity, but you'd think NASA would celebrate in some way.

The crew had a personal, private reunion - along with their wives. Uniquely for an Apollo mission, all three crewmembers are married to three original wives.
