Brazil received sample 303 of the Goodwill Rock, a fragment of rock 70017 returned to Earth by Apollo 17. More information can be read at the link posted by Richard above.(Brazil may have also received a sample of Apollo 11 recovered lunar material, but I have been unable to locate that distribution list as of yet.) If I may, why do you ask? |

These items usually seem to end up in the respective country's science museum. I would suggest looking at this page: http://www.aip.org/history/newsletter/fall2001/astronomy.htm Where there is an E-mail contact for Alfredo Tiomno Tolmasquim, Information and Documentation Coordinator, History of Science Archive at the Museum of Astronomy and Related Sciences in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. If anyone would know or be able to put you on the right track, I would think he would. FF |
