Hi John,Current situation as I understand, is Ed Mitchell, Dick Gordon, three Cosmonauts...still active... and a guest who we would all love to meet from the original seven.....but its difficult to assess who will attend...Paul Tibbets was listed last time but had to drop out..due to ill health. Regards, Andrew |

I spoke to a representative of Sportizus who are one of the owners of Autographica. This conversation took place at the Northampton show.He indicated that Charlie Duke was a possibility and Dave Scott might be approached as he lives in England these days.I asked if Buzz Aldrin was a possibility and was told that this wasn't a viable proposition and therefore unlikely. |

Hi Gary,Charlie Duke has been mentioned before...but has not attended yet.I personally would like to see him visit the show. Dave Scott lives in the UK...but due to the fee he ask`s for...is a non-starter for this event. He was approached for the May event... It would be nice to see Buzz Aldrin...but again another expensive proposition I think... Regards, Andrew

When I ordered my tickets on the phone for Autographica in Northampton in May I spoke to one of the organisers who said they came within a whisker of getting Valentina Tereshkova for Northampton. He said they were still trying to get her for Coventry. He also mentioned Mitchell and Gordon so I tried Mitchell on his discussion group and this is what he said.....Capt. Mitchell I hear a welcome rumour you may be visiting the UK in the Autumn (Fall) to attend a convention. Please tell me this is true? Yes, it is tentatively planned. Don't have the date on my calender, but late Oct or Nov as I recall. I will have it firmed up in the next few weeks, most likely. Edgar Mitchell 26 May 2003 Keep your fingers crossed Paul |

Thanks to all who have replied. We will just have to wait and see I guess. For anyone interested I was sitting at Al Wordens table at Autographica, Northampton and was the person who had the photo taken of Rachael Robbins sitting on his lap at the end of the meal qwhich was a bit of innocent fun. |

Hi,I remember seeing a post from Alex Panchenko...he had tried to get Valentina to sign some stuff for him ...but met with a flat refusal. If Autographica came close to getting her to attend that would be a major coup. I have not heard that story before. I feel that the line up will consist of the people reffered to in my previous post. But it would be nice meet such an important Cosmonaut. I note that with only full three months remaining before the show... nothing has been shown on the Autographica site yet Regards, Andrew [This message has been edited by andrewcarson (edited July 18, 2003).] |

Dear SyIf you wanted to come to Autographica, it would be worth contacting Garry King who is the chief organiser. He can be contacted at: garry@autografica.freeserve.co.uk Hope you can make it - us Brits would love to see you there! And to John F: what's planned to upstage Rachel Robbins then?! That was certainly a highlight of May's event! All the best to everyone Robert Synge. |

Hi Sy,I was going to reply to you about who to contact but some of my UK friends have beaten me to the draw. It would be great to have you over. I think everyone who has made the trip over since the event started in 2000 has had a great time. No cosmonaut names yet. When I spoke to Rex Hall I believe mentioned they were looking at 3. Usually the names are released nearer the time when travel arrangements visas etc are confirmed. Incidentally the 22nd November is my birthday so it seems a good excuse to have a few beers with everyone! Cheers Steve |

Just a thought but if we would like to see Sy at Autographica why don't we contact the organisers and tell them we think he would be a good addition to the line up.Best wishes Rob Wood |

Great news that at last we hopefully know the astronauts that are coming, with Scott being there it will encourage us all to attend. Yes it would be terrific if Sy could make it as well to this popular U.K. show. Well Robert ,what could we do to upstage the Rachael Robbins photo. How about Tippi Hedren sitting on Sy's knee if he comes over. Only joking Sy. John |

Does anyone know if the rumour of Jack Lousma coming over is for real? Hope so - he'd be a very welcome addition and someone we've not seen in the UK recently as far as I'm aware.Robert |

Hi Steve,I have spoken to staff at Sportizus..part owner of Autographica. They have a problem with the server on the Autographica website..the guy who maintains the website is away at the moment and will fix the problem on his return. I asked which Cosmonauts would be attending the show but they have yet to sort out who will be attending..they should have an idea next week perhaps. Regards, Andrew |
