Hi all,

This is an open invitation to any of you who are, or might be in the Seattle area on Sat, Feb 8th, to attend a "space theme" gathering (OK, party) at my condo that evening. I will be "unveiling" my new built-in display cabinet at 8:00 p.m. which contains my collection of vintage/contractor rocket models. The "exhibit" is entitled: Manned U.S. SPACEFLIGHT - the first 20 years.

Among those in attendence should be Brian Basset (cartoonist for Red & Rover), Jim Stanley (the first American engineer to work with Von Braun), Dennis Parks (curator of the Museum of Flight in Seattle), Steve C. (senior model maker for Boeing), Nick Proach (model maker/owner of Nick Proach models), and a few others of note - in addition to a really nice group of friends.

My re-model has taken the better part of three months to complete and I am CLEARLY ready to have it done... and kick back with some celebration. Details and photos of the "event" should be posted on CollectSpace afterwards - but it's not the same as BEING THERE!

Hope some of you can attend...

Finally! A gathering of space geeks that is close enough for me to attend.

Just two more days...! The display is nearly done - but some of the final little touches won't quite get done by Saturday night. I hate it when that thing called work gets in the way of space collecting!
