Author Topic:   Annual Alabama Aerospace Celebration Gilbert Member Posts: 1328 From: Carrollton, GA USA Registered: Jan 2003 posted 01-23-2003 02:17 PM                The Alabama Educators Association sponsors an annual event titled Alabama Aerospace Celebration. It is primarily to stimulate interest in engineering and the sciences in Alabama's high school students. It is open to the general public however. I attended last year's event in Opelika. Henry Hartsfield, Jan Davis, Jim Voss and Grace Corrigan were guests of honor. They were very accessible for autographs and photographs. It was a great two day event. This year it will be at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery and the theme will tie in to the Wright Brothers Centennial. The date has not been announced yet but it will be in late March, on a weekend. I will post the date when I am notified. This will be a great event for CollectSpace members to attend. Gilbert Huey
