Ch. FUGLESANG of SWEDEN is already for years in training at Starcity and NASA ... He'll aslo fly soon on a STS-mission ... That was about time !

The ESA press release says October, but by the time of the launch we'll probably realize both you were and myself were right and you were just a bit more realistic :-I How did this come about now? Did the Dutch caretaker government finally decide to throw out the money now that the Fortuyn list was dumped (at least some money they could spend as ongoing business and from previously committed money)?

But the former Finance minister, Gerit Zalm, was against the trip of Kuipers, he thought it was to much money (some say its 7,5 million Euro's others say 12 million Euro's for the trip). Now this goverment has less problems with the flight and Kuipers flight is being paid by the department of economic afairs and the education department.
