Does anyone know if there will be a pictorial cancellation offered at Pasadena for the end of the Cassini program on Sept. 15, 2017? Thanks!

Not to my knowledge. There was at least no mention of it at JPL or in the lead up to the end of the mission.

Sometimes the next postal bulletin after an event will have a listing for a pictorial cancel. If previous experience is valid, look for a cancel in the next postal bulletin.

I doubt it, as the JPL Stamp Club no longer exists and its main driver, Dr. Jim Rose, is retired.

Jim, however, does still produce the rubber stamp cachets he used to apply during the entire projects. You would have to send him your stamped and addressed covers before the event, though.

This shows this type of covers that just returned to me.

The day you have Saturn stamps for postage to overseas destinations. Currently this postage rate is $1.15, not 49c.

All times are CT (US)
