I'd like to organize my space stamps and covers collection, but I found only the Lollini's album and I frankly don't like they are in french only.

I was thinking about creating my own pages using blank pages and printing them.

The main issue is the paper size. I've found A4 blank pages from Lighthouse but no compatible binders. Any past experience to share?

Actually you can take the same Lighthouse binders. Check the eBay.

Any hints on this? What about the blank printable sheets? I've seen some in A4 format but, is there any way to print larger one?

Other question, where I can find the list of all the space Stamps (apart the Lollini website)?

You might think twice before moving to a format larger than A4. 8 1/2 x 11 (US standard) or A4 will fit standard binders and albums. Anything larger will not. In terms of finding a checklist for space stamps contact the American Topical Association. They have an excellent list.

Thanks, I will write them an email.

Any hints on A4 (or similar) printable blank pages and related binders?

I'm curious about this list- let us know what info you receive.

In view of the number of new stamps (and FDCs) being offered monthy (see Lollini's monthly space catalog to get an idea!), you can certainly ruin yourself - but hell, isn't that the case for every space memorabilia?

I will not follow new emissions.

I'd like to organize my existing collection that starts from the Sputnik era trough the first half of the 90' and complete the lacking stamps in this timeframe.

Can anyone help on which could be the best A4 sheets to be printed and the related Binders? I would like also to set some FDC/signed covers on the pages. Ideas?

As an astrophilatelist, I just went through the Cardinal Spellman Philatelic Museum space holdings and have separated the majority of the space stamps from their holdings so that their collection more nearly conforms to aero and astrophilatelic instead of thematic lines.

If you have an interest in purchasing the stamps (none should be very expensive) I could inquire on your behalf.

Sorry but I cannot fully understand (I'm not mother tongue).

You are saying they are giving away their space stamps collection (space stamps as in stamps related to the space race era and after)? If yes, it could be of interest to me. Let me know.

Your understanding in not correct. What I intended to explain is that the space themed stamps I recommended the Museum remove from their permanent collection were common. The institution does sell items that are duplicates or otherwise not needed by the Museum. If someone wanted to purchased a sizable amount of space themed stamps I could inquire about a reasonable price from the curator.

I have a few high end Scott archive books for storing collectible covers. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send pics. Email me.

If I were to mount all of my hundreds of space stamps in an album, I would probably find it much less expensive to make my own album pages rather than buying pre-printed pages from an album dealer. You can also buy great albums with blank pages in them.

All times are CT (US)
