I have several covers on which patches are glued on.
Any advice how to proceed? Should I take them off destroying the covers or are the patches worthless with glue on the back? Thanks for your help.

Personally, I would leave the patches on as part of the cover.

These patches are worthless in any state.

I say leave them on. The patches themselves have little value, but attached to the original envelopes at least they have some context. Personally, this is the first time I've seen them presented this way.

Except both Schirra and Glenn have put the fantasy Mercury patches on their flight jackets, giving it a pseudo-OK.

The best thing of everything is John Glenn's signature. It seems to be genuine, if it is not printed. However, Senatro Glenn still signs - strictly one item for each person requesting.
