The great mystery about the below two covers (scans thanks to Gerard Zonneveld) are their postmarks, September 2, 1975. I've contacted several members of the Space Unit and none of us can explain the significance of the date. Can anyone help?

One suggestion is that it might be associated with a visit by the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) astronauts. Does anyone have their post ASTP itinerary for Sept. 2?

Any other suggestions?
