Anyone planning on going to NAPEX Stamp Show June 1-3, 2012 in Tysons Corner, Virgina?

I will be there Saturday and Sunday for sure.

Pooz, plan on bringing the Glen Edwards flown hotel bill and letter (flown on the XB-42 when it set a transcontinental speed record from Long Beach, CA to Bolling AFB in Washington DC (c 2,300 miles) in just 5 hours 17 minutes when the XB-42 set a speed record on 433.6 mph.

Yes, Edwards AFB is named after him.

Included is a letter to Bill Schneider apologizing for not having carried any covers, as he says:

...in looking through my belongings carried on the trip, I found no envelopes. However this paid bill built up while waiting for the trip to materialize might act as a poor substitute. Yours truly, Glen W Edwards, CAPT. A.C.
Let me know who is coming so we can meet and greet!

Woody, yes, Tom is coming in from Detroit, and Tom and I will be there at the start of the show on Friday and will be there for most of the day on Saturday as well. I just finished talking to Dick M. and he will be there at the show hotel and hitting the show on both days, also. Dennis D. will also be there. So, we should have a pretty good showing of the Space Unit members. See you there!

All times are CT (US)
