This special cover, marking the 135th and final Space Shuttle mission, pays tribute to the 30-year Space Shuttle Program. The well-designed cachet displays all five orbiters in a lift-off to landing sequence.

These special STS-135 covers can be obtained from Ken Havekotte and Titusville-Moonport Stamp Club.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex also offered covers with this cachet, although printed on a standard business-sized envelope (no. 10 or 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 inches). The sales were pre-launch, so were not yet postmarked.

The shuttle tribute cachet covers, or "5 orbiters" design, were produced by my firm in two different sizes.

In commemoration of our nation's final space shuttle voyage, I wanted a cachet design to feature each flown orbiter's depiction along with how many missions were flown and from what years.

Graphics design specialist and Astrophile editor Jim Roth came up with the final cachet design that, I think, most would agree is an outstanding illustration of the shuttle's 30-year-long program history. Thank you, Jim, for the awesome design work!

Most of the larger cachet envelopes were made available to the KSCVC for their gift shops and invited VIP launch and landing guest site locations.

The standard-size envelopes were purchased by NASA Exchange here on-base at the Kennedy Space Center, mainly for space center workers and their families.

Both cachet sizes, along with a wide variety of different cancel types, are currently available from my firm.

In addition, all the NASA Exchange space shops will be offering the "5 orbiters" cachet envelopes with various mission cancels.

The KSCVC is currently offering single launch and landing cachet covers, as well.

Besides the "5 orbiters," both NASA Exchange and KSCVC are providing, along with my firm as well, regular STS-135 crew-mission emblem cachet covers, now with various mission cancellations.

Thanks, Bob, for the heads-up about this new cover creation!
