I am in need of copies of any Soyuz covers, launch and/or fdc's, autographed or not to illustrate an article I am writing for the Astrophile- journal of the Space Unit. Any scans that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. credit will be given to contributors. ------------------ John Macco Vice President Space Unit Shady Side, Md. John,"any Soyuz" covers is a wide field - there have been several hundred launches of this particular spacecraft, including the unmanned ones. You may wish to name a few missions in particular you find particularly important stepping stones of the Soyuz programme and ask for scans of these. It really depends which ones you mention in your article which - until you submit it to the editor - only you alone know. I'd be pleased to help if I can. ------------------ Jürgen P Esders Berlin, Germany http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Astroaddies |

John,That is still a large field of over 100 launch covers (and docking and landing if you want) from Soyuz 1 (1967) until the last launch, Soyuz TMA-9. I doubt anyone will commit the act of love to scan 100 covers for you and end up with just 2 or 3 used in the article. Again, which covers would fit fine will depend on what exactly the article is about and what you want to show with it. Tell us the crucial covers you need and I'll see what I can do ... John,I have flown covers and letters from all manned Soyuz flights between Soyuz 12 and Soyuz TMA-9. Let me know, if you need any of those. Happy New Year! Walter |
