This "Mission Control" patch shows up once in awhile (e.g. eBay 192259712286). Does anyone know what it is for or if it has any relevance? |

It will be interesting to see what it is when it is delivered...I suspect it's a fake patch or possibly an anniversary patch. We'll see. Anyone have any thoughts? |

I cannot find the dates to see if they overlap, but I wonder if this patch is related to the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) 8th IAA Man in Space Symposium that was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1989. |

It would be Tashkent embroidered on the patch. |

Well, I finally got the patch. It is sealed on the back, but not coated. It also has a cut edge. So it's definitely vintage. Other than that, not much to go on. Considering their rarity (these rarely come up for sale, maybe a couple times a year), I'm leaning towards it being for some office or project. Any thoughts? |

At first I was thinking it might have had something to do with STS-30 but that was May 4 - May 8, 1989. |

I think it is related to fluid dynamics in the human body in a microgravity environment. The mission control reference is throwing me and I can't correlate the date to anything. |
