Soyuz MS-10 patch, as seen on astronaut Nick Hague's suited photo. The image is possibly skewed a bit and the shape out-of-true.

The triangular design of the Soyuz MS-10 crew patch refers to the number of crewmembers of this spacecraft which is shown orbiting over the Earth's surface. Behind our blue planet, the elements of the Russian and American flags stress the international character of the space mission. In the background of deep space, the silhouette of an owl is visible, symbolizing the scientific wisdom that orbital research on board the International Space Station will gain. The orbital complex is shown in bright yellow on the left. The top right angle of the logo shows the direction of mankind's future dream: via the Moon to deep space. The Roscosmos logo is put at the top of the design, with the crew names underneath. The spacecraft designation is put in the center of the patch. Designed by Luc van den Abeelen.  |

The MS-10 crew will be launched in October with only two crew members — Ovchinin and Hague.The three named patch was produced (with Tikhonov) and the batch will be reproduced wit only two names. I got the first version in the TsPK last week.  |

When was the crew change decided? I hadn't seen anything on that subject before. Maybe due to the new Russian module launch being delayed again? |

I first heard of the change to a 2 person crew at the end of the week, and looking at the source now, the info was pushed out for planning purposes on Tuesday (4/17).As well, ISS will be dropping to a five person crew for at least the next several increments (57, 58, 59 and 60). |

Formally the decision is not taken officially, but the crew is now in Houston without Tikhonov. I have heard Tikhonov is out because of the Russian scientific module delay. |

They kept three stars on a new version of the patch with two crew members. I am sure Ovchinin didn't want forget about Tikhonov! Russian mentality... |

The owl in Russian is Сова (Sava). In French "ça va" means "all is good."Some month ago I met Alexei Ovchinin and he told me as a joke the name of the patch was "ALL IS GOOD!" |

Soyuz flights usually have two mission patches, one worn by the crew, the other consisting of the year, the crew member names, and the flags of the nations on board. Anyone know if the later patch was designed for Soyuz MS-10? Thank you. |

I guess you mean the back-up crew patch, answer is yes there is such a patch. |

I think he mean the Energia logo for each Soyuz mission.Up to now there is no patch/logo or special informations for the failed Soyuz MS-10 flight on the Energia webpage. |

Yes, the MS-10 patch (both launch and landing versions) are/were available through Jacques (spacepatches.nl). |

Here is the 3-piece Soyuz MS-10 souvenir set — banner, pin, and decal — by RKK Energia. I acquired the set through a friend in Russia.
