Northrop Grumman's description of its NG-13 patch:
The mission patch for Northrop Grumman's NG-13 mission is shaped as an astronaut's spacesuit helmet to acknowledge the primary purpose of the NG-13 mission which is to deliver critical crew provisions and cutting-edge science to a planned increase in human presence aboard the International Space Station (ISS) in 2020.

NG-13 is Northrop Grumman's thirteenth NASA Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) mission and is represented by the thirteen stars emblazoned on the helmet. The helmet visor offers a view from the ISS perspective of the Antares launch vehicle and Cygnus spacecraft on the robotic arm of the International Space Station. An ISS solar array is included in the view which a perspective frequently seen from the ISS Cupola during Cygnus berthing.

The Antares launch vehicle will launch the mission into orbit from the Mid Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) at Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore which is represented in the backdrop of the patch. This will be the second flight of the Antares 230+ vehicle configuration in support of the CRS2 contract.

The teardrop flame represents the presence of the Glenn Research Center's Saffire IV experiment which will be conducted upon Cygnus after it deberths from the ISS.

All times are CT (US)
