Through all of the years I've looked through this site, I've never seen a comprehensive thread covering United Space Alliance or Shuttle Closeout Crew patches. I know of the fact that there are many different patches worn by USA closeout crew members, such as:
  • Closeout crew patch (USA or LSOC version)

Made by Ken Havekotte in a couple batches in the 90's/2000s.

There also seems to be a reproduction made of the closeout crew patch in 2020, which appears to be very rare. has only come up in a few auctions from what I've seen.

  • Shuttle Crew Escape Team (Orange Oval Patch)

Worn by suit techs at O&C — are very rare from what I've seen.

  • Shuttle Escape Team Member (Parachuting Astronaut, Red/Blue suit)

Worn by some closeout crew, not all. comes up once in a while on eBay, I'd say uncommon.

  • USA back patches

Worn by closeout crew and suit techs at O&C. usually only come up in auctions or attached to suits, pretty rare. saw one on eBay two years ago.

Are there any others that I'm missing? Also, does anyone have a way of acquiring the 2020 reproduction of the main closeout crew patch? Maybe through Ken Havekotte?

Ken Havekotte pictured and shared details about the patches you identify in an earlier post about Shuttle closeout crew and suit tech philately. With regards to the 2020 closeout crew patch, in particular, Ken wrote:
The ... patch, while the same basic configuration of the original NASA/LSOC Astronaut Closeout Crew design, was recently redone, or should I say the crew hatch portion of it, was reconstructed by well-known space station crew patch designer "Artonaut" Tim Gagnon of Titusville, Florida.
You can also find an earlier discussion about the Shuttle Crew Escape Team here. It was worn by United Space Alliance suit techs, rather than members of the closeout crew.

Some of closeout crew's patches changed over the course of the program. At times, the crew's overalls included a patch for the Kennedy Space Center. After the loss of Columbia in 2003, the crew wore the STS-107 memorial patch (at least for some missions, including STS-114, STS-121 and STS-125).

There is also a flight crew equipment/extravehicular activity (FCE/EVA) group patch showing an advanced crew escape suit (ACES) facing an extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) that at least one closeout crew member wore (second from left).

All times are CT (US)
