AB Emblem have added a new section to their website, "New Old Stock." There are 29 mostly shuttle mission patches described as:
These vintage mission patches are new-old stock Schiffli embroidered.

Production dates correspond to the missions circa late 1980s, early 1990s. Made in Weaverville, North Carolina USA. No country of origin or traceability stickers on the back of the patches; these predate us applying the stickers.

I notice they have used a photo of the modern updated STS-35 patch currently produced in China, and not the Schiffli embroidered version for this section.

Curiously, the photo of the STS-68 patch is the prototype version.

They are using the same STS-68 patch photo on page three of the Space Shuttle mission section. So I think that particular patch has been sold a long time ago? May also of had one of the round white type 3 labels with "Made In USA A-B Emblem & Caps Weaverville N.C. 28787" on?

That new/old STS-68 is far better than the one were accustomed to, in my opinion.

All times are CT (US)
